I hope you are all healthy and happy as the new year starts! It's been a while since I (or Blaise) have had a release. We have been working on other writing projects. Some of those are still ongoing but we are shifting our time to our own work. Last year we finished up the Satisfying Her Needs series. To our wonderful joy, this has turned out to be our most read series! Thank you for all who supported us, especially since this series ventured away from the traditional wife sharing genre. While it was very successful, for those of you who prefer more mainstream stories, you will be pleased to know that our work this year will be more along those lines. With our usual twists, of course. We have two books well underway: - Another book in the Surprise series. This was my very first series. As you know I like to finish a series without every single question answered and no real 'ending' because I hope the characters have come alive for readers and you can decide how you see their lives going on. I did that in the Surprise series, but have long felt (as have many of you who have written to me) it was a little too unfinished. The intense relationship between Melissa and Marcus remains one of my favorites, and her strong character is too appealing to give up. So I'm working on a third book (tentatively titled A Surprise Renewal) which will bring us close to an understanding of Richard's motivations and also address the question about Vern. - A special collection of novellas. I know most of my readers prefer longer books with a lot of backstory, while others want more 'action.' Blaise is especially aware of this, hence the Rotation series and other books. Between the two of us, we have literally dozens of story ideas. Some of them require a book or a series, while others would have to be padded to get to book length, and as I'm sure you are aware by now, we really dislike filler and padding. We strive for every single paragraph in our stories to be an exciting scene, and for everything in between to be necessary for understanding why the the characters do what they do. For readers looking for 'erotica', there is plenty of that available elsewhere. My standalone stories and our joint stories are firmly in the 'erotic romance' category. So this collection will include stories that have more backstory than a short, but are not as fully flushed out as a full book. There will be a nice mix of 'typical' wife sharing/hotwife, as well as a few stories we do not often see told, such as girlfriend and pre-relationship sharing. After all, the fantasy of seeing a wife with another man has to start somewhere. . . So what's so special about a book of shorter stories? I think each of these couples has the potential to birth a book or an entire series. I'm going to leave it up to you. You'll be able to vote on which couples you'd like to read more about. I (or Blaise, or perhaps a guest author) will write a book about that couple. It's one thing for me to feel strongly about how good a relationship is, but it is far more important what you think. Finally, as many of you may know I am a ghostwriter (as is Blaise) for romance books for other authors. (You may have even read some of these books!) I have long been urged to release some contemporary romance stories under my own name or a pen name. These would not be in the hotwife genre but more mainstream (hot) romance. I'll fill you in as time goes on, and may include one such story in the collection to get your feedback. Thank you all for your continued support and allowing me to fulfill my dream of being an author. I love reading your letters and hearing your comments. p.s. I often receive wonderful messages asking how else readers can help me as an author besides reading my books. Reviews are especially helpful on Amazon and goodreads. Another way you can help is through my participation in the Amazon associates program. If you go to Amazon directly from one of the book links on this website or using the link below, I will earn a small referral fee from Amazon. You don't have to even purchase one of my books (you can buy other books, or a TV!), I don't see what you buy, and it doesn't affect the price of your purchase. Thanks! https://www.amazon.com It’s been a while, we know . . .
As you know, I’ve been working on a series called Allure of the Vixen, a hotwife story told from the points of view of the different characters. The response to the first two books, The Husband and The Lover, has been incredible (thank you!) and I have just finished The Bull. This was originally planned to be the next release, followed by The Wife, which would tie together all of Joanne’s (and Phillip’s) story. As I was working on The Wife, it became obvious that the origins of Joanne’s story just needed to be told. I had originally planned to do this as a flashback in The Wife, but I’ve never been a fan of flashbacks, and there was just too much of her story that needed to be shown to make the later books realistic. And Joanne turned out to be such an amazing woman—so sensual, so sexy, so absolutely sure of what she wanted—how she got this way simply begged to be explained. Especially since she ends up making such a profound change in her life once she meets Phillip. So I’m making a change to the release schedule. I have split Joanne’s story into two parts. The first, which takes place before she meets Phillip, is to be called The Vixen. The later story will still be The Wife. In retrospect, I should have released The Vixen first . . . but as I’ve mentioned before, it still wasn’t clear to me how this would all turn out, and how readers would respond to the different points of view. I’m so touched and flattered by all the comments I’ve received, and your support has given me the incentive to complete the fuller series. So I’ll hold off on releasing The Bull until The Vixen is ready and released. They’ll come out pretty close together, and my hope is that I’ll get The Wife out soon thereafter. (I’ll post a sneak peak of the covers soon). On another note: You may have noticed that many of your favorite authors (in this genre and others) have not had many releases in 2019. The reason is that Amazon made another change to its search algorithm around February, which dramatically cut into author sales. Many authors have left the Amazon Kindle Unlimited program because of this. I’ve stayed, since I know many readers get their books via KU to save money. But I also was hit hard with the Amazon change (many indie authors had their earnings cut in half). I won’t bore you with the details, but things appear to be slowly returning to a (new) normal. To make ends meet, many of us also took on other projects, such as ghostwriting (which I have always done) and editing. (Ghostwriting is writing a book for another author to be sold under the other author’s name. I began my writing career this way, ghostwriting a number of books in contemporary romance and other genres). Other projects: Blaise Quin and I continue to work together. We have made some progress on a third book in the Satisfying Her Needs series, which will delve a little more into Andie’s exploration of her emerging understanding of what excites her. Blaise will likely take the lead on that one. Similarly, I’ve long wanted to do a follow up to Discovering Her Needs, which would be in some ways a more ‘traditional’ hotwife relationship, although, as in all my stories, with a new twist. I will also be contributing to a book of shorts that Blaise is helping edit. Thank you again for all your support! Please let me know your thoughts, ideas, and criticisms (yes!). And please write reviews when you can, they are incredibly helpful not only to authors, but to other readers, so they know whether a particular book is for them. Please check out my entire catalog to see what books you may have missed! Update from C.C.
I’ve been hard at work on an exciting new series! Those of you who have read my books know I have continually tried to push the boundaries of the genre variously referred to as hotwife or wife sharing. The common wisdom among writers is to repeat the same general story approaches and tropes, since that is what sells. I feel there is more that can be accomplished, especially regarding the complications arising from the arrangements pursued in the relationship of not only the couple, but of the other people involved. What, for example do the lovers and bulls really think of the situations they are in? There is always the question of whose point of view provides our window to the characters. Many stories are told only from the husband’s viewpoint. Others are in the omniscient third person, a style I think is too removed to get at the nuances of how the characters are dealing with the intense realities involved. This is why I’ve told stories from the wife’s point of view, or by switching back and forth from husband to wife. Such invariably involve tradeoffs. On top of it all, readers have decided preferences for who they want telling the story. So I had this idea. Why not write entirely separate books from different points of view? The wife. The husband. The lover. The bull. This would be the best of all worlds, and also provide the opportunity to show scenes critical for each character. This is the genesis of the Allure of the Vixen Series. Each book is standalone; you can read them in any order. The stories are decidedly not just the same scenes told from the different points of view. Each book contains scenes not in the other books, and are on a different timeline. If that isn’t enough, I’m also including what I believe is a set of motives for the characters that haven’t been very well explored. The typical motives have to do with the husband wanting to see his wife pleasured, or the couple wanting a new spark, or the wife wanting what she can’t get at home. But what if a couple could end up in a wife sharing situation, but where none of those typical motives apply? I think I’ve discovered a way. . . In this series you will meet Joanne. She is the most confident women you may ever meet in this genre. She doesn’t need men (or a husband) in the traditional sense. She has created a way of life that is unique, where sexually she is happy and pleasured and satisfied and challenged. She lives by a set of rules that works for who she is. Although not the most perfectly beautiful woman, she is so confident in her sensuality, so alluring, so completely captivating that men cannot take their eyes off of her. She is the definition of sensuality. The personification of sexuality. A vixen. Join Joanne, and the men in her life, on a journey that goes beyond discovery, into the deepest recesses of fantasies old, new, and unforeseen. The first book to be released will be called Allure of the Vixen: The Husband. Look for it at the end of November. As always, thank you for your support! I love hearing from you and cherish your thoughts and responses. Update from Blaise Quin I am working on my first ever book of short stories. I have so many ideas for scenes and books and situations, and have finally accepted I won’t be able to write books for all of them. So I’m going to take the hottest ideas and distill them into tightly wound stories that will still have enough backstory. I’m going to ask a few other authors to also contribute stories, so there will be a range to satisfy many tastes. I’m also planning on a second take on Allie Shows Her True Colors, with more of a hotwife theme. The long awaited follow-up to Discovering Her Needs is also on my to-do list. A new revenge story, and perhaps a revenge bundle, is in the works. What do you think? Wow, it's been a while!
After hearing from so many of you that you wanted to see more of Emily and Justin, we dove in and started a new book. It turns out there was a lot of story to tell. After what had happened at the end of Book 3, things could have gone in many different directions. Would Emily and Justin give up their lifestyle now that she was going to have a baby? Would Emily's attraction to Damian wane or be a constant temptation? So we started to answer those questions, but more just kept coming up. The story kept growing--at one point we thought about breaking it out into three books. But we don't like cliffhangers, and didn't want to just try to get you to buy more books, so we've included all the storylines in one volume. Think of it as three books in one. . . As always, we've tried to push the boundaries of this genre. Not only in situations and scenes, but in character development and backstory. We hope you agree. We realize that even though we cover a lot of ground in Book 4, some of you may still have a few questions at the end. We're at work on a new Epilogue to Book 4 that will be free for newsletter subscribers only. But as we explain at the end of Book 4, some of you may be happier not knowing Emily's secrets. If so, you should leave everything to your imagination and skip the final (?) Epilogue. Many thanks for your patience! We promise we'll have more books out soon in 2018! Although we haven’t had a new release for a while, a lot is in the works. First, the finishing touches are now being put on the newest Pent Up Desires story. This one is going to be a multi part (as usual, all our stories, even when part of a multiple book series, can be read standalone).
The Pent Up Desires stories are about women who have been out of the married/dating scene for a while, usually due to a divorce, or their careers, or just bad luck with men. Though they have the normal frustrations any woman might have, they’ve all but accepted the fact that things are the way they are, and so have suppressed their physical needs. These stories explore what happens when these needs find an explosive release. The newest story, Working the Rotation, is about a woman who gets a job at an exclusive, secret resort, a place where the rich can fulfill their fantasies. As part of her training, she has to rotate through all the services that the resort offers. Along the way she discovers not only what she might be called on to do, but what she is willing to do, and uncovering her own secrets of what excites her. While this series explores relationships outside of Blaise’s wife sharing stories, those of you who enjoy that genre won’t be disappointed! Blaise has found a way to incorporate both the middle-aged romance story and wife sharing in the Rotation books in a way that’s never been done. Stay tuned! Parts 1 and 2 will be released in the next month. And. . . Poll entries continue to pour in regarding the Awakening Her Needs series. We are hard at work on Book 4. Thanks to everyone for their input and ideas! It’s amazing how clear the characters of Emily and Justin have formed in your minds. Your thoughts on what should happen next vary greatly, ranging from Justin taking a more active role to Emily becoming more involved with Damian (and others) on her own. There’s a lot of talk about the baby and other babies, with many people sure of exactly what has happened, although there are as many people on one side as the other! We thought it was pretty clear. . .but obviously not. We will say that all the evidence is there. But we admit that we didn’t spell it out because it heightened Justin’s angst. We also think that where you come out on this depends a lot on how you see Emily and where she is in her journey. We’ll keep you updated here. In the meantime, check out the Her Needs and Pent Up Desires stories if you have not already. (Aged to Perfection Part One is available for free). Also, now and then amazon has specials on products and subscription services such as Kindle Unlimited, and these are posted for your convenience on our Amazon Specials page. Thank you for your support! Satisfying Her Needs Book 2 has been released! See it on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZXZ7Y1P The poll results for whether you wanted another book in the Awakening Her Needs series are flocking in! We have been amazed at the overwhelming response and thank all of you who voted and provided comments on the series.
It is fascinating to see how many perspectives there are on Emily and Justin. Not only in terms of what has happened, but what you would like to happen. Many of your have wonderful imaginations. (We've actually suggested to some of you that you should be writing your own stories!). While there is no clear consensus as to what readers would like to see happen next, there is an overwhelming preference for another story. So while we can't promise you that it will go down the path you have imagined, we can promise that we will write another book. In fact, we've already begun writing. In the meantime, we'll be releasing Satisfying Her Needs Book 2. Book One ended with a shocking discovery, and our original thought was that the story had come full circle. Yet we received a lot of feedback from readers who wanted to see what might come next. Would Andie initiate new connections? Would the relative power in their relationship change? Who else had a copy of the video? These questions grew on us as well, and so we delved back into the characters. As is often the case, the story tends to have a life of its own, just like the characters. The result surprised us a little as well (really!). As in real life, things are not black and white, and people grow and change -- which can open up new and exciting opportunities. The book is in final editing and should be available by the end of April. As always, newsletter subscribers will get first notice of the release date and will know about the limited time discount. We love hearing from you, both via reviews on amazon and emails. Thank you! 2016 finished off with a bang with the highly anticipated conclusion to the Awakening Her Needs series. That was to be the end of the story of Emily and Justin, but. . .
You wanted more. So the first release of 2017 will be a special Epilogue to Awakening Her Needs, available only to newsletter subscribers. For free. Even with the Epilogue, you might feel there are a few pieces of unfinished business. If so, newsletter subscribers will get to vote and decide about whether the series should continue in a new book. Look for the voting information in your email soon. Also planned for 2017:
And, though it is not yet a certainty, we have been in discussions with a very talented storyteller to take the Surprise series and turn it into a contemporary romance. And more! |
